Our Programs and Curriculum
Wonder Steps Preschool offers programs for children ranging from 6 months to 6 years. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our programs and curriculum.
Infant-Toddler

(6 months to 24 months)
At this age, children are busy learning how to sit, crawl, stand and eventually run and they require stimulation to help them learn.
We provide age-appropriate stimulation through music, facial and verbal mimicking, educational toys, storytime, gross and fine motor skills, outdoor play, and a very cheerful and spacious room to help our infants and toddlers to explore. Naptime also helps them to be more energized to explore more possibilities. We provide parents with a daily report of their child’s day at the center. This includes any milestones achieved, activities they participated in, as well as a record of food eaten and diaper changes. Our Teacher-Child ratio is 1:4.
Preschool/Pre-K

(2 years to 6 years)
At this stage, children are learning to be more independent and to develop social-emotional, cognitive, creative and physical skills.
Our preschoolers learn school readiness skills to help them transition well into school. Our unique curriculum includes a variety of educational theories and hands-on activities based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities, while always keeping the child’s interest in mind. We provide them with the appropriate developmental tools, games, books, and hands-on activities to support their curiosity, and energetic minds. Our Teacher-Child ratio is 1:10
is play-based which is child-directed and teacher supported. Play is work for children. Play-based learning promotes a sense of wonder, exploration, imagination, social-emotional development, and active learning. Our teacher encourages children’s learning and inquiry through interactions which aim to stretch children’s thinking to higher levels. Our play-based curriculum includes different learning areas such as social-emotional, circle time, language, literacy, music and movement, math, sensory activities, and outdoor learning.
is STEAM-based. The STEAM-based curriculum is all about hands-on activities which use Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The steam-based curriculum gives opportunities to wonder, curiosity, exploration, and imagination in children. As children explore through hands-on activities they learn scientific inquiry, creative ways of problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning. Through STEAM activities children can expand their executive function skills by practicing their ability to retain information. It promotes development in all five domains for children to reach their full potential. Our Preschool Program is designed to address the unique requirements of each child. Through STEAM activities and reading every day, teachers at Wonder Steps Preschool will enhance children’s vocabulary and help them to understand different topics about the world and everyday life. We will make sure to give your child a strong foundation and to get them ready for kindergarten.
